Looked awesome, until I watched the slow mo clip that is on Stuff. After watching it a few times, trying to locate the punch, apparently it was on the forehead, looked like a glance to me, or is it a conspiracy theory? Like the internet, everything is true in boxing!

Thoughts?

Looked like a hit that tupou had never conditioned for, you could tell he was proper cold.

I hope parker actually fights real fighters now, iirc he's now 15:0? That should atleast be enough to get a reputable ranked fighter.

Yah I couldn't really see a hit that would knock a guy down out cold clearly either but there is no doubt he was cold clocked, you don't fall like that when you are faking it, esp not the neck.

He said in an interview that he hit him in the temple... that'll do it. Especially when there's no more 'travel' for a fighters head to snap back and soften the blow. Tupou was at full reach to avoid being hit, so once the punch connected with his temple, he couldn't snap his head back to soften the impact.

It definitely didn't hit his temple.
I've seen slow-mo replays from multiple angles and whilst he definitely hit him, it was on the top of the head, just up from the forehead...didn't look hard enough to knock him out but as has been said on social media: how many of us could stay awake after a full-force punch in the head from Joe Parker? And if you were going for a dive, would you hit the canvas that hard with your face, without attempting to break your fall?

It looked a bit bogus, but I think it was legitimate.

A glance I say. Hard, but boxers take hard hits. Its a sport too exposed to corruption, and this is not Parkers boxing career, this is his being marketed for the big dollars. He will do well but this pre career preparation is in my opinion, calculated. A day will come when he will be left to the wolves, then he can strut his stuff, hope he does well.
