Hi

We're looking to replace our external meter box with something nice looking.... Old one was a metal box that has rusted.

We have a smart meter from genesis, just looking for a nice box that isn't a white plastic monstrosity.

Ideas folks?

Stock standard metal (pretty sure they still are) Teubel cabinet?

I would just go for something that will fit in the same hole size and paint it.

Budget? You could talk to ADRiley about their ScanOr Plus which is a small remote power meter reader. They take a meter and fit and synchronise the remote meter which is only about 90mm wide by 42mm high. Costs about $165 for the fitting if I remember correctly. You could then have your meter anywhere(ish) you want and the remote meter outside.

Ours is pretty rusty but what does it cost for an electrician to replace everything into a new cabinet? Looks like a pretty substantial sum to me.
