I know this is a lame thread, I apologise, but I have been trying for quite a while to find a couple of pairs of replacement shorts for playing squash in.

Almost everything on the market is the quickdri stuff, which I do NOT want. I need them to be absorbent, not too thick, stretchy to a degree and have an elastic band or drawstring. The reason is when I wipe my hands on my current shorts, they get "dry" where is on the quick dry material, it's not absorbent.

I have looked everywhere, and googled everything I can think of, but it's quite hard to tell from pictures online. Also some cotton pants have like a layer of "plastic" on them, like some towels, where the moisture sits on top. Unfortunately I don't have a more technical explanation, but hopefully someone understands my gibberish.

Price isn't a particular issue and neither is buying overseas, except trying them on.

I'd also prefer conservative colours.

My current pairs are converse and say 100% cotton.

Farmers a month or two ago, had some Chisel shorts with drawstring.  At Henderson they were pretty much next to the changing rooms.

Online too: http://www.farmers.co.nz/men/men-s-clothing/shorts/chisel-basic-elastic-waist-short-5997897 or http://www.farmers.co.nz/men/men-s-clothing/shorts/chisel-elastic-waist-cargo-short-5998353

Edit: Checked a pair of mine, (The non-basic link, w/ pockets on side), listed as: "Body: Cotton, Pockets: Poly-Cotton"

You know those skin tight black stocking things that women are all wearing now? They look they could be absorbent. They could also be very supportive.

What are you talking about? Yoga pants? Leggings? Ponte pants?
