This may be slightly ambiguous but here goes anyway

do you think that when deciding on a domain name (or business name  I guess?) or I suppose any name that people will search for Do you put any 's ie do you make it plural?

so if you were selling services say car services would you register the domain carservice or carservices ?
selling lawn mowers lawnmower or lawnmowers?

This is important stuff people!

Its not uncommon to find a domain you want registered only to find that the plural version is not

I appreciate there can be a lot of other factors that affect your decision but I thought I would ask anyway

go for it...

Not really an answer, just a comment, but as you say this is important stuff ;-)

No apostrophe for plurals.

I have seen far too many people (casuals to professionals) committed this grammatical sin!! Drill my head in and cringe!

My initial thought is, whatever the company is called, but I can foresee some exceptions to that.

I would say to use the plural (without apostrophe!)

sorry what is the sin?

if i wanted to say carservices whether it was grammatically correct or not i wouldn't and cant use a apostrophe.

if was offering a multiple of car service opportunities surly i would put carservices as in more than one? or is that not correct?

It was a tongue in cheek observation based on your original post which said:

Do you put any 's ie do you make it plural?

Which I read, perhaps incorrectly, as a suggestion that to make a word plural you wanted to add an 's (apostrophe s) to the end of it.   True though, it's a moot point given you can't use apostrophes in domain names.
