As above just looking for a budget brand of tyres to fit a station wagon.

Bridgstone wanted $200 per tyre, I was hoping for closer to quarter that. Car never gets used and never on motorway.

2. you need to list the size of tyre you want
3. you need to list what you use the car for
4. you need to list your budget

$50 a tyre for a new tyre you will get absolute rubbish

While I was going to reply with a sarcastic comment I changed my mind, I would buy the most expensive tire that your budget will allow you to the reason being tires are a safety device not only for you but other road users.

If you can spend an extra $20-30 then do it. Tires just like brakes are an important part of your car and shouldn't be replaced with cheap parts.

actually i was just after a general recommendation.

$50 tyre, i was clearly being extreme.

can you actually give me quotes if i give you tyre size? awesome. 195/60/15. cheers. look forward to it.

Don't buy cheap Chinese ones. I had some, great on the dry. When wet literally tip toeing on ice. Skidded time and again with no warning.

bridgestone are doing 4 for the price of 3 at the moment so a set of supercats should come in in your budget

i rang bridgestone and the lady on the phone said the cheapest tyre they do is $200 so with the 3 for 4 it was $600. :-(

i agree about the cheap cheaps, the altenza and achilles 122's arent bad though. I also thing the goodyear optilife are a good value tyre.

still if i could get bridgestones for those prices i would.

I've been happy with GT Radial Champiro on my wagon, short commute and weekend trips.
Found Supercats very poor in the past.

Consumer do some tyre testing and recommendations.

its a shame the super cats arent listed.

whats funny is they currently have those nexens on them and they lasted over 60kkm. definitely not a racing tyre or a wet tyre though.

i see it says the P1 pirelli is for city and compact cars, its a wagon, so that rules that one out
