when i switch on the camera. A message automatically comes up....Card is not formated, press YES or NO. If i click YES then i will loose all my personal pictures saved on my memory card...When i click NO..It askes me to switch of the power. When it is  switch offf then on again the same message keeps on appearing. what do i do!!????!!!

Its a brand new card, so there is nothing on it, but keeps coming up card error.

If it is new get it replaced. It may be fixable but not worth the hassle as you should just get it replaced.

if its brand new with nothing on it then just let the camera format it so that the camera can recognise the file system on it.

I don't get it... if this is a brand new card then what personal pictures are you going to lose??
