Here's a bizarre offer from KFC. Buy a "fan bucket" of chicken in New Zealand and get a pair of speakers.

In case you're considering it, it's amazingly off-centre weight wise.

So the slightly tap means it tips over with the speakers pointing down.

Just another marketing attempt.  It may help them sell more chicken, it may not.

Does anyone remember the 80s when KFC were quite regular with their innovative marketing?

I can recall those 3D shades and some kind of promo code that you had to enter on a device in store amongst other things.

It is targeted marketing. If you consider their main customer base profile, and like it or not - it is based on gender, race and age group. Leave it at that

more like a tin can with a piezo glued to the bottom.

I wish they would keep successful promotions (BBQ Chicken wings) and replace menu items people don't really order, to liven up the menu a little it's a little boring IMO. something like this one: http://www.kfc.co.za/OurMenu

I can't load their website for some reason on Orcon, Google DNS, Google Chrome, anyone else? seems like it's happened since Orcon had problems 1 / 2 nights ago.

Very innovative SA menu, but I'm glad those aren't $nz prices!

Someone has posted perhaps the most boring unboxing video ever, and it clearly shows the design flaw tipping over. They should have included a stick on counterweight, as they are using those heavy old small speakers you get in PC cases, which are used for basic beeping sounds. They aren't even powered or bluetooth You can probably find better speakers such as powered computer ones on $1 reserves on trademe

Yes, I found that when googling this offer earlier tonight... I did giggle at the need for the need to stop and read assembly instructions (on camera) for the folding though too :)

Bleh, I hate their KFC over there, most of the chicken has been feed on fish meal and that's what their chicken has a taint off.
