When I bought a camera couple of years ago it came with a 'new' un-packaged SD Card.

All my devices take Micro-SDs, so I have never used it. But I bought a card reader in the DSE final sale.

It turns out the 'new' SD card has photos in it from three cameras ... including some photos of quite a 'personal' nature.  I've formatted the card, but some things you can't un-see.

The vendor (independent retailer) has since closed shop.

Moral of the story - if you borrow a camera or card be careful to delete any pictures you snap!!

A well known video card manufacturer got caught out a few years ago with their driver CD.... someone in NZ bought a card, fired up the CD and wondered why it didnt have an auto run as usual. Explored the CD and found some rather explicit adult material on the disc. Oops....

I always get given back staff mobile phones when they leave, full of images etc, first thing I do is factory reset - dont want to risk seeing things :-p
