I am always amazed at how fast the website interest.co.nz gets updated with the latest rates. I seen it a few times that there has been a rate change for mortgage rates before the banks have even had a chance to update there own website. How?

Do the banks and other institutes provide a public API service to get the rate information???

No the Banks don't have an API.

I suspect they are on the circulation of interest rates that would get sent to Mortgage brokers, or they may have a Bloomberg Terminal or similar....
