Hi guys I have an auction site, one would think that there are no more space for an auction site on the net.
I think that this would take off once people know about it. The name says it all, if you know YOUTUBE we have a winner... the site is name is [url removed]
I tried selling it on trade me but they didn't want it. It was purely selling the site not advertising. so i've decided to keep it.
Any feed back about the site will be greatly appreaciated, feel free to register and lets make this site our site.

Thanks team!!!

I don't get why you've called it bidTube... in what way does it have anything in common with YouTube?! Whats the differentiator that will make it survive in this market?

too common though.  every web2.0 site and their aunty are using the "insertrelevantnameforyoursiteplusTUBE" or "anythingyoulikethatendsinERminustheEandjustalittle....r" naming format.  it's time for some originality

Right, so it's called bidTube not because you're somehow incorporating YouTube-type features into an auction website, but because you think making a vague reference to a very popular website in the name will make it attractive?

I hate to sound harsh, but can I bring you back to Earth with a gentle bump? Your subject title says it all, and when you said "one would think that there are no more space for an auction site on the net" you were bang on the money. There isn't room for another auction site. Trademe has the market sewn up. Not even e-bay can get much of a look-in here in New Zealand thanks to the ubiquity of Sam Morgan's creation.

Putting Trademe aside, the site is way too busy looking for me. Simple is the name of the game.

Good luck and all, but I wouldn't quit the day job just yet.

How does it relate to YouTube as in "if you know YOUTUBE we have a winner"?

I already posed this to him, Mauricio. His response: " I had a few discusion about the name i guess Youtube is pretty well know so I guess... bidTube is a good name."

I think 'soldierruel' has a little bit to learn about what makes businesses succeed!
