I wonder what this will do to the middle eastern refuge crisis?

Who guards the guards?

And president Erdogan encourages people to go out on the streets. How irresponsible is that?

This (March) Guardian Article appealed to my very warped sense of humour.

"Turkish army threatens legal action over anti-Erdoğan coup rumours"

Statement says army has no plans to oust president and that such ‘baseless news’ is damaging morale .................... The Turkish army, historically seen as a defender of secular principles, has ousted three elected governments and one prime minister.

Pretty well under control by 1.15 this afternoon. 42 deaths reported so far according to Sky News UK, who's coverage has been superb.

Turkey Coup Chickens Out

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

No they don't. Capital punishment was abolished in 2004.

Here is one person's view, but when it comes to the middle east, it is hard to know for sure what could happen.

"A representative of Turkey's ruling AKP party, Zeynap Jane Kandur, said Europe is "very lucky" the attempted coup has not been successful.

Ms Kandur is adamant that Europe would have faced "a huge threat" if President Erdogan had been ousted because Turkey would have been in ruins and no longer able to act as " barrier" between the EU and Syria".

But what does The Donald think of it?

Edit: He's probably got his finger and toes out working on 83 in Nice... "Where's Nice?" "Nice to see you?"
