I have a listing in the White pages that consists of:

1) My residentual landline number
2) My residentual facsimile number
3) My personal mobile number.

In the past I have had my VFX home/business number listed as the residentual landline number, however I called last week to have this changed to my Telecom landline number as we are using that more for incoming personal calls now.

When the changes happened, my fax number and mobile number disappered from the listing. I rang YPG just now to have them reinstated and was advised that the cost is now $80 per entry, plus GST (So $160+GST) as YPG is no longer owned by Telecom.

Last year it cost me $5.29 for the fax number (A faxability number) and $20.80 for the mobile number, both plug GST. So a total of $26.09 + GST.

Very disappointed with your huge price increase Yellow Pages. You loose the $26.09 you were getting from me and now you get nothing. $160 + GST is, in my view, not worth it.

UPDATE: The guy from YPG called me back to say he got it wrong, and the charges are $20.80+GST for each additional entry. The $5.29 for Faxability no longer applies however as YPG is not Telecom owner.

So YPG, time to give your staff some training on your pricing structure. I wonder how many people didn't jump up and down about the supposed increase and just (wrongly) paid it.

For our company's listing in the Yellow Pages this year, it was going to cost us 4 times what it cost us last year.  And all we get is a basic listing with links off yellow.co.nz

Even better, the sales rep didn't bat an eyelid when telling me out the new massive amount - I just about died.
