Whilst in Berlin recently I stopped by the Sony Store where they had some VERY VERY nice $500 Euro headphones, attached to an HD Music Player.

On that player, were some Michael Jackson songs, and I think they are some form of special HD or remastered version, including Billie Jean, Bad, The girl is mine, but I can't find

a remastered album or HD version of an album containing the songs.

Did his music get remastered recently or is it likely this is a special Sony version (I think they own his music rights) that you can't buy retail?

There is a bit of MJ on hdtracks, and I can see many 24 bit flacs on the site I usually torrent music from, so definatly out there.

Sony also was big into SACD with its DSD format, and I think that their standalone network music players will also play those files off USB or a NAS in addition to conventional PCM based stuff.
