Work sending me to NY (Times square) in the second week of December, Ive been there 4-5 times over then last 15 years so have done most of the usual tourist things.

What I after are suggestions on electronic toys I should acquire (?1080 graphics card) and some things to see and do.

Thoughts?

A.

One of my favourite things to do in NY is go to really good deli, preferably one that makes its own pastrami etc and get a deli sandwich with lots of sides.  Hardly high-culture but there is something magical about a great deli sandwich in NY.

If you're a beer connoisseur, you could check out the myriads of craft beer bars and chin wag with the locals regarding all sports American.

Anki overdrive or similar smart phone / sensor driven version of slot car sets. (hot wheels have one, as do wowwee) or the non track based ones. If you are into gadget type toys.

I've only been to NY once, and it was only for a week so we were trying to be as efficient as possible to make the most of it. One of the things we elected to do instead of visiting the usual attractions like the statue of liberty or the empire state (both of which require time wasted in lines etc) was to do a 30 min helicopter flight over Manhattan. It wasn't that cheap, but was worth every cent. We got an awesome view and saw so much more than we otherwise would have.
