I had given up on sending important things to people in third world countries because they always get stolen. Without fail.

But that was using normal post office shipping.

If say I were sending an iphone as a gift and it really needs to reach, say Malaysia. What method would you use? (I'm hoping there are some people with experience here that can help)

Swype on iOS is detrimental to accurate typing. Apologies in advance.

Just discover this discussion might be moot coz applecare plus doesn't apply there apparently ... It's not an international insurance apparently!

Buy it from the Apple Malaysia store, or have the recipient pick it up.

Post shop offer an international courier option and other options above normal post.
