I got an xbox one and a playstation 4 for xmas.

Neither party new, but I opened the xbox one stickers (those round cellotape things).

I like the PS4 more because you can use the web browser with my keyboard and mouse.

Thats what I wanted, a media player and web browser as my Sony TV web browser like xbox wont use a mouse or a keyboard.

Any way it was bought from PBtech, I planned to buy a desktop through them after xmas, Im not sure if tha would help in returning the item.

In Aus, its quite easy to return an item, well JBHIFI is anyway. I found the same here with them. As long as you have a genuine reason for wanting to return it.

I took back a monitor for a customer to PB Tech a few weeks ago (they decided after getting it out of the box it was too small O.o).  There was a restocking fee of 20% but they had no issues with crediting it.  You'll need the invoice though.

Just be aware there is no obligation under any law for a retailer to take back a product just because you don't like it. At best you'll find most retailers who do have such a policy will only exchange the goods for credit, not refund. Many may also refuse to accept a product that has been opened.

Depends on the retailer's returns policy

their policy is within 7 days, which it is, yes they can do a restock fee of 20% otherwise.

i just thought they might have an issue with celloptape of the box being cut etc.

i find jbhifi really easy to work with, i took a soundbar back once simply because it wasnt the model i thought it was. perhaps is should ring pbtech first?

if they give me credit thats cool they have something on sale i want.

They might have a problem, which might be solved by requesting to exchange it for a PC.

Time to find a new industry!
