So we have a bunch on IT technicians that love to stream music from Youtube / spotify etc. Rather then them individually streaming and using up the bandwidth does anyone know if there is a service which allows say a media PC to have a music catalog? All the computers in the LAN can then connect and listen to music? Free option would be great otherwise happy to look into pay options as well. Thanks.

Yeah I'd say plex as well. You can play on devices (phones etc) computers. But it does require a shared music library (unsure the legalities of this).

Not sure if you can proxy spotify to that it's using a local cache for all employees rather than going external

I've personally used SubSonic before - Has a great web interface and can also be used on a variety of third party mobile apps.

Highly worth the $12 a year upgrade for the Premium features but would recommend to try out the free version first.

I'd probably choose Libresonic over Subsonic, it's still free and open source. I've also heard good things about koel but never used it myself.
