Two interesting articles have popped up this week:

What Does Apple Want With Satellites?

3 Reasons Apple May Be Interested In Satellites

Apple is already building their own range of central processors. ('A' series)

They are investing in AI technology; Apple Publishes Its First Artificial Intelligence Paper.

They already have colossal computing & storage server farms.

Owning their own group of satellites, well that just rounds it all out.

Where next >> take the leap and you can see where this could lead to >>> Skynet built by Cyberdyne Systems and the Terminator using an advanced series of Apple CPU's.

SCARY STUFF

CAN NOT WAIT

Anyone else got some scary future tech stories?

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Everyone is doing it. Seen Terminator Genisys? Essentially the good guys must stop Cortana going live and achieving consciousness and then control over everything. No really, they carry Microsoft phone and everything in the movie. : ).

Apple wants satellites. Google owns Boston Dynamics.
Let me think, which one am I more afraid of becoming Skynet...

Yep, definitely the one with working autonomous vehicles and a military research company.

WOW now this is Déjà vu Scary Future Tech

Did anybody watch 60 minutes USA Sunday night on Prime:

"New generation of drones set to revolutionize warfare: Autonomous drones are being called the biggest thing in military technology since the nuclear bomb. David Martin reports." (article also has the video)

They, the USA military, say the kill order will still be a human decision, mmmm till the drones get a virus. Now where did I get that idea from? Skynet built by Cyberdyne Systems

How much AI research is actually going towards creating artifical sentience? Pretty much everything I hear about is self learning, not the same thing as self awareness.

There is a far greater threat, a family of devices so innocent looking but they are so evil. These innocuous looking devices have gained a foot hold in nearly every office, store and in many many homes. They sit there quietly setting the nets and planning their evil deeds and few realise the threat that maybe sitting just meters from them.

I am talking about printers and the most evil of this army is the HP printers
