Hi all.

I've used the MetService website frequently, but I'm after ideas on any alternatives that people use? I'd also like to be able to check weather on a certain previous days if that were possible? Met Service doesn't seem to be able to do this..

Any help would be appreciated..

Cheers.

I like to use MetVuw for some of the longer range forecasts and windfinder for going out on the water kayaking.

I find this reasonably reliable for long term planning - eg, it did not anticipate the adverse weather over Easter, but sometimes Metservice is better for todays weather.

you can scroll down on the metservice site and it gives you past weather.

To see what the weather was like. (Temp / Rain / Wind)

Depends on where you are for getting a forecast. There are some local sites.

Generally when weather sites "pop up", as soon as they become commercial their forecasts seem to "go to sh*t".

Metservice.com shows the last 30 days - do you want older records?

Accuweather is good I find - and allows users to file live reports of weather conditions, which in areas with large user groups makes for more accuracy.
