I'll try to keep this to the point - sorry in advance.

During pre-sale I bought two VIP early entry tickets for the upcoming Ariana Grande tour for my daughter (and one for me to take her from Wellington to Auckland and the concert).  Two days later when the tickets went on public sale, I managed to buy one of the Meet and Greet tickets for her - this was her dream as she has been such a fan.

This was all back in April and ever since I have been trying to find a way to sell one of the VIP early entry tickets but can't because the tickets are forced to be pickup only.  As I don't have the physical ticket, I cannot list them on either TradeMe or Ticketmaster Resale.  The ticket cost $350 and I'm not looking for a profit - just to cut my losses.  I understand there are rules to stop scalping (that's a different topic) but this is crazy.

First question is does anyone have experience with this issue and found a way around it?

Second question, does anyone want to either buy a VIP ticket or trade the VIP ticket for another ticket - I'm open to offers.  The only problem is that you will have to meet me at the venue to get your tickets.  The concert is at the Spark (Vector) Arena on the 2nd of September.

Short of me standing at the arena with a big piece of card trying to sell it, I really don't know what to do!

I will list it on the "Offers and Wanted" if the FUG allow it (as I don't have a ticket) - perhaps a moderator could confirm.  PM me if you are interested.

Thanks in advance

Are you able to pick the physical ticket up from TicketMaster in Wellington, allowing you to put it on ReSale? All the Wellington Ticketek locations are TicketMaster now I am 99% sure.... http://www.ticketmaster.co.nz/h/tcentres/lni.html

Never thought of that - I'll try tomorrow.

@Paparangi - you sir are a genius.  Went down to the Ticketmaster agent at the Michael Fowler Centre and she just printed them off with no fuss!

I owe you a drink - somehow - happy to drop a beer voucher in your bank account if you PM me.

No worries - pleased I could help and it worked! Thanks for your generosity, but I'd much prefer it if you just popped a few coins in the next charity box you come across :) Enjoy the concert!

To tie up the loose ends to this story.

After getting the tickets and being about ready to put them on TradeMe, Ticketmaster eventually replied to one of my requests for help and actually refunded the ticket (once I proved I was not a scalper)!  I'm not going to guess what motivated them to do that - needless to say that is very unusual for a ticket agent, but I am glad they did.

Thanks again to @Paparangi, Cancer Research thanks you too.
