I'm a bit disappointed syfy channel has chosen not to renew Dark Matter - Joseph Mallozzi (the shows creator blog)
Really hoping another channel can pick this up (Netflix/Amazon).
there is a change.org petition which may help keep it alive.
other sources TV Series Finale  TV Line Variety

On the other hand Killjoys has been given a finale 2 seasons (tv series finale).

I like both but Killjoys is kind of like warehouse 13 or Eureka and is essentially a sci-fi filler to me.  Its engaging but is a bit by the numbers.

Amazon/Netflix are going global and CBS (star trek discovery - I think Netflix NZ might be OK but OZ could have another paywall) are looking to buy channel 10 Australia (The Age).
With the above in mind I think given past cancellations (and rebranding efforts) syfy channel has lost the plot and unfortunately this means we will (and have lost) lose a lot of potentially good and upcoming sci-fi tv series as syfy disappears from the market.

I've been really enjoying both Killjoys and Dark Matter, and it's gutting DM is being killed off.

I never really got into Dark Matter..  The last season was a definite improvement over the previous though.  Killjoys I liked more.

I readcan article online advocating for buying sci-fi TV series on Blu-ray even if you have seen the series to provide additional market evidence of popularity.

So I went straight out and bought The Expanse....
