My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.
I cant imagine a warranty return would be much fun.
And the CGA wouldn't apply, since you're importing goods...hmm.
They should at least take a page out of Amazons book, and act as the agent to handle import duty fees....evidently they don't.
I have purchased several small items, bit of a delay with shipping expect about 7-10 days from memory.
A cheap capsule coffee machine about $90 with lots of coffee pods included, it was cheap and I wanted to try one. Not sure why, but it broke within 24 hours. I was not happy, and knew it was going to be a hassle.
I had to send a video describing and showing the fault, and then follow up photo to show that I had cut the power cord and agreed to dispose if it properly. I just cut a spare power cord as if is a PC type. I kept the old machine for parts.
I eventually got a new one with more coffee pods. And just recently bought more coffee pods, so yes still working.
:)
I've used them twice, once the shipping was heinously slow, the other time only painfully slow.
I've bought a few items from them, generally because it was freight free and the item was well priced. Reasonable service, but not as prompt as amazon. Also had a warranty claim with them which took a while to sort due to waits for them to reply to information supplied. Eventually it got sorted, they handled pick up for inspection of faulty product and then, within 10 days, sent replacement.
But if you buy online, specially from overseas, shipping time and getting warranty issues sort is the play off to cheaper prices
thanks for the info
i have heard things about their shipping taking up to 10 + days
also they have no 0800 number only a 09 number
It's just Kogan operating under a different name.
They have an interesting reputation in Aussie, some see them as the guys who keep JB's / Harvey's honest, others think they are simply going to be eaten alive by Amazon. Either way, if it's slow delivery and undisclosed GST / duties you're after... then go for it.
