ASB's FAQ talks about lost or misplaced phones. I want to know what happens when I decide to get rid of the phone or switch to another. Why do they let you cancel real cards easily, but force you to phone them to cancel a virtual card?

Hi there, we checked with our team and can clarify this for you. When you dispose of, or switch phones, you will need to deregister your ASB Mobile app which will automatically de-register ASB Virtual, so there is no need to call to cancel.
Then when you get your new phone and install the ASB mobile app, you'll be able to see “Add ASB Virtual” on Card Control screen.
Currently the ability for customers to be able to delete ASB Virtual (without deregistering their mobile app) is not available.
Hope that helps!
