Himself got the tree in very early this year due to a predicted shortage.

First day they went on sale he got one.

Well its done all right for 2 weeks, but it starting to lose it's will to live.

I've tried lemonade and dis-solvable aspirin, but I think I'm losing.

Any other ideas to keep the tree looking good until Xmas day?

Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!

I once saw a tip that said to keep the leaves/needles looking fresh to add green food colouring to the water. No idea if it works. Sounds like mumbo jumbo to me.

I read recently that hairspray the needles but yours may be too late.

they are like a body, they only stay fresh for a limited time.

Is it actually in water?

It's the hydration to needles that keeps them green (according to mr expert on morning TV one morning). Filling tub with rocks for stability and the bottom in water is meant to be like a footspa for it

Beware of doing this with Xmas Lights attached! You might look a lot more perked up after 240v :)

As others said a about spraying them with water on the leaves, It may work marginally.
Tree's been cut down, its slowly dieing. Expect it to do what it is doing.

Put a coupla slugs of brandy in its water. Or threaten it - like the reverse of Basil Fawlty hitting his broken car with a tree branch saying "You're a naughty boy". Threaten it with future abandonment or destruction.

Not really any help now, but if you go to one of the places where you can cut down your own tree they last way longer than the precut ones.

Also if you get a Macrocarpa instead of a pine they stay looking good for ages.

We got ours on the 3 of December and it is still looking as good as when we got it.
