They suck don't they.  They have no real meaning on first sight, but they lure you in to the thread out of curiosity - only to whack you with their irrelevance to your interests.

Sigh.  I guess I've been guilty of this in the past but come on people lets get specific here....there's a post on the front page right now simply saying "40 Minutes"....40 minutes what?  40 minutes from Wellington to Otaki?  40 minutes is the length of my breaks at work that I never get to take?  Is it that hard to say "40 minute wait times when calling "insert isp here".

This is my time we're talking about, my precious precious time that I can't get back....I could be doing something much more useful with that time like writing ranty posts that go nowhere and only serve to satiate my own meagre frustrations.

Nothing to see here, move along.

Yes they suck. And when you point it out the OP gets all defensive like everyone else should read everything.
