Just tried to buy something on line (from overseas) and was going to be charged 15% GST.

I heard this was coming but I can't find conformation its happened yet.

Can anyone confirm?

If you'd searched the forum for "GST overseas" then you would have found the main thread on this topic:

I brought some screen capture software from them about two weeks back. Seems to works very well (crisp HD with no audio lag) although I've only used it to record an hour long webinar so far. It hasn't set off any malware alarms, and my bank accounts haven't been emptied thus far :-)

No GST was charged.

That's worth knowing about the software. I had good results with the trial version.  GST is now included in (not the advertised price) but what the cc is charged.

I had second thought about a company that charges an extra  15% if it's not kosher. I hadn't heard and would have expected some official announcement/start date to be well publicised.

And yet if you have a GST number, Adobe (for instance) simply do not bother charging you the GST!
