Ive got an asus u3000, which is a digital tv tuner that came in a box of junk
Im planning on hacking it into the internals of my eeepc, but im wondering, does NZ even have any channels which transmit digitally and can be captured with a tv tuner? AFAIK everythings analogue.
New Zealand has had DVB-T transmissions since April when Freeview|HD launched.
Don't even bother trying with the EEE pc - min h/w requirements to watch Freeview|HD are a dual core + video card such as a Nvidia 8500 or higher supporting H.264 hardware acceleration. You will also need appropiate sotware such as GB-PVR, Media Portal or DVBViewer and a H.264 codec that supports hardware acceleration such as PowerDVD.
