Got the same on my mobile yesterday, from a short number. I didn't answer the call but got the voicemail. Rubbish, deleted, don't care.

Yeah, someone just PM'ed me with a rough translation.

The message seems to a recording of if you had tried to access a hotline with numbered options. The remainder of the message says it is to do with a Consulate or Embassy and relates to information regarding visas.

Ah, I got a call yesterday, caller ID says Hong Kong, so I took the red button option - decline. Now I know what it probably was.

Not sure where dialling 222 is going to get you though... the 2degrees contact centre?

Tried dialling it from my 2deg phone, it didn't connect.

Actually thinking about this I wonder if the call is going out a PRI trunk from a VoIP provider and the spoofed CID isn't able to be set correctly?

I got two from 0273132095, got a colleague to translate and she tells me it said to please hold for customer service? Not sure if it's the same thing other people are getting.

I've been hit with a couple of these now. I can't believe they're apparently so hard to stop, that's probably the part that annoys me the most about them.

I don't see any option to report these to Skinny.
@LivingSkinny, anything I'm missing, or is Skinny burying their heads in the sand.

I've received two of these calls: one from a phone identified as 09 525 1120, and the second 022 490 3259.

The first call intrigued me enough that I dashed to a Chinese colleague's office when the message began to repeat. She identified the language as Mandarin and said the message was something about bringing one's documents somewhere.

I've blocked both numbers now.

FWIW I'm on 2Degrees with an 021 number ported from VF.
