Wow that was a joke. and lots of bad ones.

I was expecting a few jokes, but I feel like I just watched a jack Black Spoof.

Too many jokes of the same style, over and over and over again.

Weak plot. Tried to use Marvel to totally milk it.

Really disappointing. I honestly feel completely underwhelmed. Total waste of money and time.

A bit of humour in Action movies is ok, but this is a Spoof not an action movie. Gutted as I like Thor (although I think Chris Hemsworth and his post Home and Away steroids is a bit a twit).

Never mind, just goes to show not everyone likes the same thing, but usually I find IMDB pretty accurate for how I would rate a movie.

I just dont know why they didnt use humour as a punch line or comic relief, it was all light humour, which just made the whole thing feel like they didnt take the movie seriously. its Thor not SpongeBob

Was this supposed to be in the Movie I Just Watched thread? And this film came out several months ago?

Loved it. Better than the first two Thor films by miles.

Prefer the first one. Was an action rom com. Very touchy feely. Didn't like any of the rest. Don't like bad humour.

The jokes were all very funny. The first time. Case in point: Thor getting knocked down with the electro shocky thing. Hilarious the first time it happened. By about the 19th time it happened, I was thinking to myself, 'You know the one person in the universe I would expect not to get knocked down by an electro-shocky thing? The freaking Norse God of Thunder, that's who.'

Yeah, really enjoyed it too... though I can see why it might not appeal to everyone. I really appreciated the humour, but also loved we live in shadows, etc and I can see why it's not everyone's cup of tea.

It's like the 3 stooges. Except that I expected an action extravaganza.

On the other hand I've watched soooo many marvel action extravaganza's lately that it was somewhat nice to get something a bit different :)  Yeah the jokes weren't always on point but I still enjoyed it. And there was some good IMO action too.

Interesting to see everyones opinion of it. I liked the movie and the humour within. It was a more light hearted take on the Marvel Universe and consistent of the comic books which IMO were a lot less serious than other Marvel characters. Certainly not the best of the MCU (Winter Soldier is my pick) but a solid movie non the less 8/10.

Ya gotta love Korg, but.

"Over here. This pile of rocks waving at you. I’m actually a thing, I’m a being. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Korg. I’m kind of like the leader in here. I’m made of rocks, as you can see, but don’t let that intimidate you. You don’t need to be afraid, unless you’re made of scissors! Just a little Rock, Paper, Scissors joke for you."

With the  Maori fella accent - classic.

Yeah did love Korg. Kiwi director wasnt it?

I think it appeals to a younger 20 something audience. The humour was definitely Spoof, ie taking the piss out of the Characters ie "oh no not my hair. cries"

I think yes the repition of jokes was bad, you could even say stereotyping Korg was, but most will just see it as his character. It was over done for comic relief and turned into Spoof.

Ive decided with rentals not to rent them for a few months as both guardians of galaxy 2 (which also disapointed me after the 1st) and another one i rented showed up on netflix within a couple of weeks of me renting it, ugggh.

I really like Dr Strange and hope he is having is OWN series of movies soon. None of this Marvel all stars team rubbish, again its aimed at a younger audience but its taking the piss on what one can accept as fiction. Oh hey, by the way all this time, these super heros havnt bumped into each other but now they know each other.

Given the humour, which was pretty much just taking the piss out of Thor and all the other characters, one has to take it as a Spoof not an action movie. If they had done some of the jokes, maybe 5%, it would have been Comic relief.

An action superhero Movie is something like "The Dark Knight Rises", pretty much all Bales films are good to be fair and he knocks Hemsworth as an actor for 6.

It just felt like a B grade movie with really amazing special effects. The movie was an insult to the Cast list which was quite extraordinary ( I wonder if some cringed once they saw what they got into).

The last movie I watched was "Cargo" on Netflix, which for an aussie film is pretty good.

Its good we can all have an opinion on a movie and respect that.
