can police really arrest him if it's proven true even if she doesn't make a complaint?

It's usually unlikely the police would investigate without cooperation from the victim (if shes signed some agreement she probably cant help the police).

But with all the media attention who knows!

All I know is if I'd paid $100k for this to go away, I'd be very, very annoyed now that the mainstream media know.  I wonder who opened their mouth?

... and I'm in no way endorsing what Tony's done.

Really - whats with you and the law?

If I burn your house down, but you do not make a complaint, can police really arrest me?

Whatever happened, I think a trial by media is never fair.
Both the victim and the accused generally suffer, all for a 5 minute piece on TV3 news/Sunday Newspaper.

Its happened before, and it happens a lot more overseas (see the US and UK for example).
