Just had a bit of rattle, glad it didn’t keep going. I’m guessing between 3 and 4.

First one I've felt for quite a while.  We seem to be getting soft or forgotten what a real quake feels like in Chch these days. 8700 people have filled out "felt" reports at GNS.  It wasn't that long ago that few would bother for a M4 quake.

Reporting fatigue (lack of, currently) probably helps explain whether people bother communicating with GNS.

First 4+ in 2years. So yep, too many back in a relaxed state so heightened sense.

Was spooky feeling them nightly on a recent holiday cruise, took some getting use to telling the brain you don't need to tense up

Geonet said first M4 for 6 months. Not much here in Halswell, bump, shake, gone.

IIRC the just offshore area was a new fault line?

Felt "Basic" is easy to fill out, literally two lines.

Felt "Detailed", well thats a mission....I dont think many will fill it out as you have to copy paste a number from the event, then paste it in a different screen... its rather tedious. (its because GNS went to survey monkey instead of intergrating within their own system).
