Hi, I am after an awesome conference venue in Auckland (outside of the CBD) for an event for up to 40 people.

Budget is not an issue, and ideally with accommodation if it is in the outskirts of Auckland.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of unique options (stock standard conference rooms with no natural light, etc) but I am sure my fellow Geekzoners have some great tips to share!

Do you need just one big area, multiple smaller rooms, or any other specific requirements? I assume you've looked in to QBE Stadium's function centre (Albany), or the Bruce Mason centre (Takapuna)

Waiheke must have some places that would be "awesome"

Depending on what you need, another option might be a Hotel with a large ballroom or dining room, and rent the AV gear if needed.

Thanks guys. Waiheke does seem "awesome" but not many venues offer conference facilities and accommodation on one site.

I'm looking for something outside of the city. Need to accommodate 30 people and enough space for breakout sessions.

Jeeze the Geekzone Auckland meetup is really stepping up the game this year.

Mrs MDF has used the Wallace Art Centre a few times and is full of praise. https://tsbbankwallaceartscentre.org.nz/

Relatively geographically convenient to the airport (at least, better than the CBD) if anyone is flying in.

If you're interested, I can ask Mrs MDF for a direct email address contact.

You could check out the Waipuna Hotel. https://www.waipunahotel.co.nz/

I have attended conferences there and they have multiple conference rooms.
