you are better off getting 3 normal Peperoni pizza's at $15 , you get more and there is not much difference in taste.
Common sense is not as common as you think.
They have having a go at being "Sals", taste wise its not impressive.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
Yeah, not worth when there are better alternatives out there. I ordered a Big Pepperoni and Sausage a couple of nights ago and all I thought was "did I just spend $15 on this?"
It's bigger yes and they're trying to copy Sal's, but if you gave me the choice, Sal's wins, hands down, every time.
eracode: Hard to beat Sals.
Really? I mean they are better than Domino's etc, but I'd take Tommy Millions over Sals all day every day.. Not even close..

Tommy Millions are too greasy.
Sal's is not bad and Scopa is pretty good. But not easy to find a great pizza around Wellington.

There was a great pizza place near the Basin Reserve in the early 2000s that closed down. That place made awesome pizza (IMO) but its name escapes me right now...
Edit: it was Luigi's!
Sals is way better but very greasey, I cannot hold down sals or any type of pizza like that.
Pizza Club takapuna have a few interesting and cool pizzas!
Cheers

Agreed Sals is better but Dominos New Yorker is half the price of sals.
The $5 pizzas is better value and still worth buying unlike the Pizza Hut $5 range which is shrinking (range and pizza literally)

I've looked at the Pizza Hut junkmail in recent months and seriously wondered who would actually buy their pizzas. Normally junk mail photos make food look appealing - their pizzas look truly disgusting!
I don't mind the Big New Yorker, and it is nicer than the standard pepperoni, and is larger.
At $15 it isn't good value, and you'd be better to pay a little more and get a half Sal's.
Sal's is too oily, but if you let the oil drain off it is much better.
For a great pizza Blitza in Birkenhead. Expensive but you get what you pay for.
