Been trying to order a Chromecast audio (actually several) from the US Google store.

https://store.google.com/us/product/chromecast_audio?hl=en-US

I have so far been unsuccessful finalising an order for delivery to NZ using the Post YouShop service. The orders are being cancelled with the message:

Because of suspicious activity on this account, we have taken the step of canceling your order.

Any thoughts?

I suspect that its my NZ credit card.

Wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't accept non US credit card BIN ranges or that the YouShop address is blocked.

Depending on where you are, the Spark store still have some in stock if you want to pop into a store to grab some.

Google will no longer ship to known reshippers in the US.

They have udentified it as getting around their geofencing

There's quite a few personal shopper services around that will actually place the order for you on your behalf and take care of everything including payment using their US credit card and have it delivered to their own personal address - this will avoid any geofencing for sure.  But you have to decide is it worth the extra cost.  I almost went this way when a supplier in the US questioned my order.  I won't name them on here, but they sell heavy technical equipment used in broadcast engineering and are a very reputable brand so was prepared to front up with the extra cost to hire a personal shopper.  The NZ "sole agent" never got back to me after I asked them for a quote and followed up with a phone call, received nothing but failed promises.

Thanks. Got one from local Spark store. Funny thing is manager says they can't get the video Chromecasts at the moment.

Has anyone managed to order anything from the google store?  I'm after some Pixel Buds and google accepted my credit card but cancelled my order several days later, likely because I was using a YouShop address.

Keen to hear if anyone else has had success?

Which is rather odd as they don't sell things like their phones on the  NZ  Play store including the Chromecast audio.
