What virtual mail box services exist in New Zealand? I found privatebox.co.nz which looks good, but was hoping to find a pay as you go service like shipito.com. Are there any alternatives to Private Box?

DX MAIL?

they are the only alternative to NZ Post.

A lot of land agencies and law firms use DX.

There are lots of options it all depends on where you are, what sort of post you want to receive, who will be sending it, who will be delivering it and what you want to have happen to the post after it has been delivered.

More info is needed.

I only really need to receive letters. If the service has a scanning option then mail could be destroyed after scanning (or ideally an option to forward selected items as well, I think that's how shipito works). Wellington based would be good, but if they have mail scanning/ forwarding I shouldn't need to collect in person.

Your best option then is backpackerboard/nomads. (Google it)

They are in Auckland CBD but they will forward letters for free. They charge a fee for 6 or 12 months of service but they are your cheapest option.

privateboxes are in Wellington which is more handy for you but they are a lot more expensive in terms of the subscription and they charge for every item scanned or redirected. Also, their customer service makes their most infamous customer look angelic in comparison.
