Check out my LPFM Radio Station at www.thecheese.co.nz - Now on iHeart Radio, TuneIn and Radio Garden
As per the usual std disclaimer.. "All thoughts typed here are my own."
clinty: I do miss a good page counter lol
Software Engineer
(the practice of real science, engineering and management)
A.I. (Automation rebranded)
Gender Neutral
(a person who believes in equality and who does not believe in/use stereotypes. Examples such as gender, binary, nonbinary, male/female etc.)
...they/their/them...
So good, hit me right in the nostalgia. They need to slow the loading time down for the true authentic experience though.
Time to get back to browsing for counter-strike mods, Starcraft cheats, and cd cracks for other games I rented/borrowed...
Edit: Odin's beard, Planet Half-Life STILL EXISTS
Behodar: I'm going to have to try it on some old browsers to see how authentic it is ;)

According to a tweet from the developers they used Frontpage!
Can't get more genuine than that lol

I would doubt it, as it is using divs, and the coding behind it looks quite modern. Old websites were built using table, and frontpage inserted a lot of rubbish code.
Just tried it on my Acorn machine and it loads to a blank screen. Indeed, a View Source shows some JavaScript and not much else.

This..... There is very little visible hard coded HTML, its all hidden off the main page somewhere.....
while they may have use Front page to spec something up, its certainly not what is generating the production code.... (That I can see)

Love the dedication to testing! What vintage and what browser were you using?
As others have said, there is way too much modern stuff going on, section html tags, CSS flexboxes etc.
Compare the source to this: https://web.archive.org/web/19961119065302/http://imdb.com/
Notice the lack of CSS. Much, much simpler times....

I must confess, I told a bit of a lie. Not technically an Acorn machine, but rather a Raspberry Pi running Risc OS (version 5.24). Browser is NetSurf.
With that said, I'm sure that true Acorn-era hardware would give the same result.
Not sure how that'll make anyone wanna see a new Marvel movie. I'll admit my personal bias however, I refuse to watch any comic book adapted movies again.
