What is the currently recommended method to clean your phone and keep it germ free as much as possible? I am wary of wipes that might damage the screen/surface etc.

Also keen to know how people clean their keyboards? I have Logitech Keyboards and often feel like they could use a clean, but I am always short on time, and feel like buying a new KB every 12 months is excessive?

For the phone I just use whichever wipes they provide at work (hotdesking ewwww). Not every day, but probably once a week. (Yes, I'm weird).

For the keyboard I would also be interested in a response. Don't seem to be able to every get it quite clean enough.

I use baby wipes to wipe the screen and case, then stick it in my pocket to dry it. Mechanical keyboard, I pull the keys off every year or so and clean them, vacuum the keyboard.

Baby wipes and tissues for my phone. I need to clean my keyboard and I got given one of those green-slime-lift-the-crap-off-things but haven't got around to using it yet.

Dry soft microfibre cloth for phone, iPad and Mac screen. Wash cloth periodically.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

For mobile I just use antibacterial wipes on the case and screen protector.

For the keyboard I put the keyboard in the clothes washer for an hour on a mild temp setting then leave it outside to dry with partial sun.

But seriously I take a photo of the keyboard to know where all the keys go then I pop the keys off with a flat head screwdriver, put them in a big bowl of hot soapy Watterson then sponge each key a little to clean. Transfer to a bowl of clean water (temp is your preference) then transfer on top of a towel to dry, there's different ways to dry them buying prefer to wipe each key down then blow air into the bottom to dislodge any water then to dry with a hair dryer. For the rest of the keyboard you can use isopropyl alcohol with qtips or antibacterial wipes, becareful to not get any liquid inside the keyboard.

There used to be a putty of some sort that you could smoosh inbetween the keys on a keyboard. Worked really well, but seems to have disappeared from market

For phone I just wipe it on my shirt and for keyboard I occasionally take it outside and give it a shake to get rid of any crumbs (don't need to do this often as I don't eat over the keyboard).

I had some of that green goo several years ago and it was so-so.

I now use household glass cleaner or orange pine clean on my mobile with a microfibre cloth

The keyboard gets a shake and tap holding it upside down and small dry paint brush.  For grimy keys I use a micro fibre cloth

dampened slightly with Pine clean

However will not use above on my TV screen!

I use a tiny quantity of handwashing liquid (flowing soap) on a damp cotton tea-towel and smear it over the phone and laptop screen.

This nicely lathers up over them.

Then use the other end of the tea-towel and dampen it, then wipe them.

Done it this way for years and seems to work OK (so far anyhow)

For my phone I spray a disinfectant spray onto a microfibre cloth and wipe all over then wipe with a clean dry cloth. The Keyboards I spray with a disinfectant spray, wipe and allow to dry. We spay all light switches, door handles, surfaces in our vehicles and so on with disinfectant spray. I also have Purel at our front door, all that enter must use and we have it in the home office bathrooms etc.

When out and about I don't put my phone down on surfaces and carry Purel with me.
