So on Wednesday Disney closed its acquisition to acquire Fox for 71.3 billion dollars. One of the downsides to these giant mergers is layoffs. It seems In the past 24 hours layoffs have already commenced. As mentioned in the thread title analysts are predicting the layoffs could be somewhere between 4,000 all the way up to 10,000. Its also being reported that Fox 2000 will be shutdown responsible films such as Fight Club, Life of Pi, Walk the Line, Hidden Figures, Love Simon, The Fault in Our Stars, Man on Fire, The Thin Red Line, Bridge of Spies, Marley and Me, The Devil Wears Prada, Never Been Kissed, The Counselor, The Hate U Give etc. Many are hoping that Netflix and Amazon may help get some people back on their feet.

It's too bad Rupert Murdoch's job won't be one of them.
