I think you're accidentally zoomed in slightly too far. Just imagine there's a cool-looking twisted accretion disc just outside this black square!

Yup, it’s going to look like a smeared coffee cup stain because of the event horizon, and that disk should be warped because of the light bending heading back to telescope
