Hey Everyone, I've seen a bit of back and forth about this, it doesn't appear to be going away any time.

I was actually wondering if anyone could give me more info on it?

I guess I want the workers side rather than the Unions or Restaurant brands.

Thanks Team.

This isn't an answer to your question, but I had the best service in a long time from my local KFC during the srike.

I didn't have to wait as long as usual despite it being lunch time and plenty of customers, the staff were competent and the food was of high quality. I hope Restaurant Brands takes this strike as an opportunity to reflect on the type of people they have been hiring, and make some adjustments.

From what I briefly read on the issue, it is not that the 'lower-end' staff want more pay, it is that the ones that have had pay rises over the years haven't had their rates keep pace with the increases in the minimum wage over this time.

I can understand that. If I had been 'promoted' from my old minimum wage rate of $16.50 an hour to $18.00, but in the meantime the minimum wage has increased to $17.70 (on 1st April this year), I would be pretty annoyed that my promotion had effectively been nullified.
