I see videos on Youtube of these super trendy hipster barbers who know their craft and what will look good on different head/face shapes etc. Can anyone recommend a place like this in Auckland/North Shore? A place you're confident to just sit down and say, "Make me look good."

Not on the North Shore but slightly south of the bridge is Boar and Blade located in Ponsonby and Wynyard Quarter. I've used them a couple of times, skilled with scissors, clippers and the straight razor.

Most barbers in Wellington are the ones that will get a hair trimmer, put a #2 guard and buzz around your head. You really need to walk around to find a good one here. I hope you have more luck there.
