Checked the tracking on my parcel today, said delivered at 8.25am...but, I've been home and there was no delivery and no parcel.

I called the courier company, and their systems for checking this are good.  They GPS track their vehicles and can match up the delivery time with the gps position at that time.

So, she could see exactly the house that he delivered my package.  Which is great, because at least now they can possibly retrieve my package and redeliver.

And, if they can't, there is proof that it was not delivered (although it still says delivered in the tracking system).

Sadly, this is the second time I have ordered this product as it was lost in transit on my first order ... so I reordered, and now it has been misdelivered!    Although I am optimistic it will be retrieved this time.

Does the package have the correct address on it?

Was there any logic to the misdelivery? Anything pointing to your address being easily confused with somewhere else?

Happens all the time to me! I live rurally and the Postie has messed up courier deliveries more times than I can count....

I'm just thankful that NZ Post tracks their vehicles now and can get the GPS tag (that, and the fact I have courteous neighbours who don't keep my stuff!)

Have had this happen to me. Packaged 'delivered' but clearly went to my neighbour who signed with his full first and last name (no resemblance to my name). Asked neighbour, he said he hadn't retrieved any parcels... Gave CourierPost a call, was told they'll send the driver back. Postie came round later in the evening with the parcel in his hand, so assume he asked for it back from the neighbour.

No logic .. They delivered to the correct number, wrong street.   The street names are totally different too, not sure how they could get it so wrong.

The courier company is a bit slack though, they said it might be 2pm before they go and collect my package from the wrong address. By which time the occupants of that house might have already opened my stuff :)

Ahhh, man, how can you look your neighbour in the eye after he tried to steal your stuff?
