Hi All,

I'm in Auckland for a few days and was hoping to do some work over the weekend. Are there any co-working locations around greenlane/epsom/newmarket that are open on Saturdays?

Alternatively can anyone recommend a laptop friendly cafe?

Thanks

That's a tough one, usually co-working spaces are available to regulars during the weekend, but the reception are closed.

There are. See here

You'll have to look at each one to see whether they are open at weekends.

If you're staying in a hotel, they sometimes have reasonable 'business centres'.

billgates: McDonald’s

Visited McDonald's Greenlane recently. A booth I sat in had two power sockets + two USB. Is this standard for McDonald's now? I'm not a regular visitor.

and free WiFi signs.

Thanks @Geektastic I had looked into those but 99% of them are closed on the weekends. I found one (NZC) thats open 24/7 but the website was very scant and its was in Albany (and 2 x Uber trips to Albany buys a lot of coffee!)

@Billgates yes ended up at McDonalds Greenlane. They have power points at most of the booths which have reasonable seating.

Odd that they are all closed weekends. Working at weekends is hardly abnormal.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Not standard, but available at the bigger branches. You can phone ahead & ask to book a booth.

If you're registered with them they give you an access card that allows to go anytime you want, but the reception is not open outside business hours. Guess it's similar to 7x24 gyms.

Too late now but for anyone reading later, public libraries. All are good on Saturdays and I believe many are OK on Sundays too.
