More of a question for @NikT than anyone else...

PB Tech are advertising their cyber sale for tonight subsequent to the independence day sale over the weekend. Having a had a NAS drive start to fail towards the end of last week I made a general FB post about how typical this was given that PB Tech weren't having a sale. An hour or so later I received their email flyer about their sale and a mate also tagged me on their FB post. They type of drive I'm after wasn't listed as being on sale so the conversation went like this:

Checking on the drives a bit later I noticed they'd dropped in price by $14, making them only $5 more than the same product from Dragon Computers or Ultimate Tech. I held off buying though as my perception, guided by the above statement was that they'd either still be at the same sale price tonight or, if the stars all aligned, slightly cheaper again. Nope. They're back to their normal $238+ price. Loads of other products have sale prices listed and ready to go from 6pm, but not HDD's - any idea what the story is here?

I predict they will be $227.12 this evening. Also, the current price is $238.62 including GST, not plus.

My + has confused you - I merely meant they were over $238.

Thanks, I'll alert the folks who look after HDDs and social.

HDDs are not exactly a high margin product category so there isn't much wiggle room, but will see what they can do eh?

EDIT: They will be $221 from 6pm tonight.

That's awesome, thanks very much. I've just finished up at the gym so will order one when I get home in a bit. Like your margins, not a lot of wiggle room on my card at the moment, otherwise I'd order two 😂
