So, at work, I get a call from what looks to be an overseas call, from a "Mike" making enquiries as to whether we were planning on moving etc, I've had a similar one claiming to be from the Chamber of Commerce a couple of years back. I was guarded and they hung up.

I am not sure what they were trying to determine, it's part of a scam I presume, but has anyone else experienced this or know what they are trying to achieve?

There are too many scam calls these days.I now let calls go to voice mail if i don't know the number. They will leave a message or email me if it is legit. Of recent times i have had voice messages  left that were not in english, so appears to have been scam ones.

The ones in Chinese tends to be scams based on "your visa has been rejected, pay us some money to get it back"...so I have been told.
