Just started getting ads from apple on LinkedIn for a retail manager and a range of experts for retail sales at a apple store. What makes it extra odd is the fact they're advertising in the Southland region...

That's what I thought but it's a odd mistake to make posting various jobs over the past 3 weeks. And also paying to promote some of the 9 listings.

Interesting. Perhaps it is because the majority of authorised partners are in the North Island?

I’m fairly sure this is a scam - try clicking the “Apple” above “Southland” and see if it takes you to an official Apple LinkedIn page.

I just went to the official Apple LinkedIn job listings and filtered it to NZ and it’s only showing an Education specialist and an “embedded firmware engineer” which reads like it’s a PowerbyProxi thing.

Found it after the first go all through the apple official LinkedIn with the alumni employed there showing up and the listing showing it from apple with 7 million subscribers. Now they're showing up as not accepting applications.

Seems unlikely that they would not open their first store in Auckland, I would think.

If and when Apple open a physical store in NZ, dollars for donuts its going to be in Auckland, Either standalone downtown, or in Commercial Bay, Westfield Newmarket or Sylvia Park...

Click this LinkedIn link which should open a search for "retail sales and customer service lead", showing only 2 results and they're both in Japan.

Yes, when the jobs stopped accepting applications they were removed from the search results.

Might just be an error. Apple Southland is in Melbourne and they may have been after people.

Every time I think about an Apple Store, I think about this sketch from Mitchell and Webb
