I started a month ago with learning how to do the 3x3 cube and have only done a few hours per weekend of learning and can easily do it now in a under 2 mins using the very slow method. (Learning 2FL at the moment)

I borrowed a 4x4 and can do that too in under 5 mins.

Has anyone got any cubes they are sick of/want to sell really cheap especially 4x4/5x5/6x6/7x7 or any of the other non-square ones or I will be getting some from Australia when I go over.

My son (10) taught him self off YouTube. He’s down to under 3 mins and gas taught his cousin as well. We bought him a 4x4. That’s a lot harder.

My son competed last year in a national tournament in a few different disciplines - 4x4, 3x3, 2x2 and Pyraminx.

Pretty amazing how quick some of these people can ben in solving a cube that I haven't been able to do in 50 years...

A 3x3 cube really isn't that hard to do . Just remembering a couple of short turn sequences I went from knowing nothing to being able to do it in under 5 mins in a couple of days.

Getting the times down is just learning better/quick sequences and getting muscle memory and not having to think about it.

Other cubes are very similar with a few more ways of moving things around.

What I'm impressed with is people who do blind solving 5x5!
