For the first time in almost 30 years of online shopping I have been hoodwinked. I thought I was buying from, it even has nz domain email address. The first hint that someting was wrong was the statement on the visa (via paypal) with the letters BV. Having worked for Philips, I know that means Private Limited company. So, obviously not a New Zealand Company. I have sent numerous emails, no response. Paypal refuse to do anything because I cant show any responses from them. They have a number of websites, hence the asterisk in the title of the post. Be warned !!! In some countries you can not own a business domain unless you have a local company or can show local residency. Why dont we ? This would cut down so much scam.

It's taken you 30 years to work out that a company outside of NZ can have a domain?

I required such an uncommon battery I no other option than to purchase from them. It came all the way from the Netherlands. It took a while, but it arrived, well packaged and genuine OEM.

I had a battery from them no problem as well. It took a while but nowhere else had it.

why not (buy from them)?

if you get the goods you want at the price you're willing to pay for, then it should be fine.

if they were, would you (1) not feel 'hoodwinked', or (2) not even consider buying from them?

not all items from actually ship from within oz.

a) Check your spam folder

b) Use a different server email account to make your enquiry in case your address is filtered by their spam gateway for some reason

Lastly - initiate credit card chargeback with your bank.

Given others here have used this company successfully and say delivery took a fair while - what was the date you placed the order?

Install "Flagfox" or "uDomainFlag" on your browser so you know what country a website is hosted in. Search the name of a website plus "scam" before buying from it.
