I have so wanted to get excited about the final trilogy, but each instalment has been a bit off. Episode 7 (well, episode 4 re-imagined) was ok for the most part, 8 a little less so. 9 has a lot of making up to do. About the only one I think they got right was Rogue One, I thought that was a great filler story between 3&4.

JJ at the helm is promising at least

The misfit of "Solo" isn't proof enough? Don't care for anything outside episodes I-VI and Rogue One.

I usually don't like any prequels, especially when the ending is already known (i.e they get the plans - sorry spoiler). but Rogue One is the exception. After TESB this would be up there with ANH.

misfit?  Isn't this the one people have been asking for the most?  I'll certainly be hanging out for more obi wan!

And initial audience tests show the Mandalorian is going to be pretty choice.

Yes this is true. But the new trilogy wont start until Xmas 2022 and is every other year following through 2026. Its rumored to be the trilogy from the game of thrones show runners.

Yes, but Solo was a fail and far behind expectations (and Disney still doesn't understand why).
