Placed an amazon order 4 days back.

The tracking link is active, meaning it has been shipped. But, when I click the tracking link, i get this....

Undeliverable
Unfortunately, a problem occurred during shipping and we had to cancel your delivery. The package is being returned, and we will issue a refund within 3 - 5 business days after the return is processed. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience.

Shipped with LandMark
Tracking ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I contacted support via amazon chat, but they cannot see any record of the above in their system, and to them the order is still being prepared and has not shipped yet.

Really odd that the tracking link is active and I am getting this message then.

Haven't seen that shipper before either. Either way, something has gone wrong somewhere. I'll just have to wait and see what happens . I'll either get a refund or the order will actually ship. Maybe both haha.

The supplier might have created the tracking label on their internal system, but the item has not shipped yet. This means the courier doesn't have it yet & as such can't provide any tracking info.

Wait & see.

In the past I have had DHL, Fed Ex, UPS reuse the tracking number for my order from a previous completed order many months ago from another customer delivery of theirs so it would show me product delivered in some random city and country but after about couple of days when my order was actually picked up from the supplier, the tracking number info reset and it became active with my delivery status.

Do whatever you want to do man.

The same thing happened to me.

I had a three item delivery, Ordered on Nov 6, scheduled for delivery today, November 10.

Everything was Prime one day shipping, but that wasn't an option at checkout so I chose Sunday - all packages delivered together.

Received an Email last night just before midnight:

"Unfortunately, a problem occurred during shipping and we had to cancel your delivery. The package is being returned, and we will issue a refund within 3 - 5 business days after the return is processed. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience."

No indication of what the problem was. The policy seems to be that when and order has an issue, it is apparently canceled and the money refunded.

All three items were reordered today. Delivery tomorrow.

Makes me wonder if they had a problem with a plane or a truck that prevented the delivery from moving forward on time.

I had a similar message, after shipping, because a parcel was damaged. Amazon refunded and my replacement order was expedited no charge. Since yours hasn't shipped I'd just wait to see what happens after it ships.

The message was pretty clear. They cancelled the delivery, package is being returned, and a refund will be processed.

No ambiguity there.

I see no reason to wait.

And that is what I thought originally, except amazon support say the order is still being prepared for shipment ... They say they will email me about why there is a discrepency between reported and actual status.

I have a similar experience, ordered something from Amazon and also coming via Landmark tracking, for days there was no update until I contacted Amazon, then all of a sudden a heap of new tracking enteries appeared. Apparently its in NZ now but still no sign of it.

The tracking is all messed up, Amazon only goes so far then stops, Landmark has a few more enteries and you'll notice in the top right theres a link for 'Track with DAI Post' which has a bit more information.

Amazon assumed its been delivered but then updated saying that its coming later now.

Giving it one more day until I contact Amazon again.

Try the DAI tracking number with NZ Post. Amazon, Landmark, DAI and NZ Post all show different things.

I'm expecting a package to turn up today (due last Friday). It is currently "In transit to local depot" with NZ Post.

Not prepared for shipment after 4 days? That's just the last status from Thursday that hasn't been updated. All it means is that support doesn't  know what happened.

Lots of reasons for undeliverables:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_left_v4_sib?ie=UTF8&nodeId=201910080

And here is their policy for undeliverables:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=3608471

Notice we ordered on the same day with delivery on the same day. Something went awry. I don't particularly care what.

I want my order ASAP. The items I ordered today should be delivered tomorrow. I'll not wait in limbo for them to figure it out. And if they do finally ship the original order, they will have to fix that too.

In the meantime, I'll take them at their word that the order was cancelled and a refund is imminent as per their policy.

If they

As it turns out, you were correct.   I contacted their support chat again, and they still believed my order was being prepared for shipment .  I pushed further (they really hate going off-script), and they contacted 'back support' and confirmed in another system that my order had been returned/cancelled.

It appears that amazon support staff do not have online access to the latest order information in some circumstances.

I placed a new order for the same products and it shipped on the same day.

You may wish to double check your account.

It turns out that Amazon did not refund my account as their email indicated they would.

I called them, and they verified that the package was not delivered because it was damaged during shipment.

They've processed a refund today.

Amazon is quickly dropping down my list of preferred suppliers with the poor quality shipping provided and .co.uk/.de no longer shipping to NZ.

My latest order seems to have made it as far as NZ Post and vanished. Yes, I'm blaming Amazon here because they insist on shipping via the cheapest possible method, resulting in at least three different carriers handling the packages, while not ensuring each step in the process delivers with an appropriate level of priority (i.e. to meet the stated delivery times).

I was issued with a refund once the package was a week overdue. I've been on holiday for a week and it looks like the package hasn't progressed any further.

I am having problems getting a refund. Because my order is stuck in a 'technical glitch', they are unable to cancel my order or issue a refund.

I've been talking to their chat staff, and they keep saying they will issue a refund, but it just doesn't happen. Each time I use 'chat' they want me to send screen shots of my webpage because they don't believe my screen shows differing information to theirs.

It is getting very tiring.
